A proposal is useful when both sides can see what is included, what depends on someone else and what a successful delivery will look like.

Define acceptance in customer terms

Describe the task a shopper or staff member must complete, including important exceptions. For example, explain what must happen when a configured product is unavailable or an external system cannot respond.

Name the dependencies

Identify who supplies copy, product data, photography, app licenses and access to connected systems. If an input is not ready, say so; it can change the order of work and the point at which an estimate becomes reliable.
