With the 2026-10 API version Next Gen Events, Shopify's successor to classic webhooks, is now generally available.
Checks for webhooks and event delivery
- If your integration subscribes to the named topic, compare the announced payload or delivery behavior with the fields and assumptions used by its consumers.
- If a consumer changes, test duplicate, delayed and retried events with representative payloads before deploying it.
These checks are conditional. Confirm relevance and release requirements in the full announcement before changing your implementation.
